Goodboys — Live Visual / VJ Set
A two-hour audio-reactive VJ rig for a five-column LED stage, open air, above Ankara.
A live visual system built for a two-hour Goodboys show on an open-air stage below Atakule, Ankara, with the city behind the screens. The stage was five LED columns of different sizes standing in a shallow arc, and the rig treated them as one canvas: a shared 3D scene rendered through five cameras, one per column, each sent out as its own NDI feed — so a line that crosses the stage stays a line.
Audio analysis drives the whole rig: low, mid, high, onset and beat are extracted live from the desk feed and fed to scene parameters, so cuts, hue moves and flashes land on the music rather than on a timeline. An autopilot advances scenes on a beat count within a pool, with a keyboard map and a phone remote for the moments worth taking by hand.
The band's clip pack was transcoded to HAP for realtime playback and pushed through a point-cloud pipeline that moves with the music, alongside authored scenes — cymatics, liquids, type.

The night
Goodboys, after dark
The first clip is recut from the organizer's own post, dusk to dark. The rest were shot by friends in the crowd — the one angle the person running the visuals never gets.

Before dark
Soft Analog opened
Soft Analog played the sunset slot before Goodboys, with the screens already running and the city and the tower still visible behind them.

The rig
A laptop, a keyboard and a phone
Everything ran from one laptop at the side of the stage: TouchDesigner rendering the five outputs, Essentia listening to the desk, a keyboard map for the moments worth taking by hand, and a phone remote served by the project itself — for walking out into the crowd while the autopilot held the show.
